About South Suburban PADS
South Suburban Public Action to Deliver Shelter (SSPADS) is an interfaith 501(c)3 nonprofit working to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring in the south suburbs of Chicago. Over 34 years, SSPADS has:
- Helped 20,000+ people overcome homelessness
- Provided 700,000+ nights of emergency shelter
- Served 2,000,000+ meals to those in need
- Connected 400+ people annually to affordable housing
SSPADS offers emergency shelters, rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, street outreach, and wraparound supportive services including case management, health pathways, and financial security programs.
